I apologize for waiting so long to make a post. . . with school back in session and Dustin and I moving into our new place, I have been extremely busy. School is moving by quickly, but my pregnancy feels like it is moving by so slowly. Dustin and I moved to a new place across town in West Monroe. It is much nicer and newer than our last place, and it is roomier for us and the baby. We are happier here, and it's still close to everything, without being farther away from our workplaces.
Nothing much has happened as far as the baby is concerned since finding out that he is a boy. I guess after that doctor's appointment, nothing interesting happens at the other appointments until the baby is ready to be born.
All is well with us. He is growing, so obviously I am growing too. He is definitely a mover. Sometimes he moves so much in one day that my stomach aches by the time I'm ready to go to bed. Yesterday he kicked me so hard he literally scared me. I jumped in my seat and gasped for air because I wasn't expecting it. I don't have any typical pregnancy symptoms anymore. I don't get nauseated, no tenderness of any kind, the dreams have gone away, no back pain, no feet/hand swelling, nothing. My stomach just keeps growing, and that's it for now.
I am 27 weeks pregnant now, only 13 weeks to go! I'm basking in pregnancy while I still can. I must admit that I do enjoy being pregnant. The other day, Dustin and I went out to eat and the host said, "Table for 2? Or should I say 2 and a half?" And it made me smile. People are actually noticing that I'm pregnant, and I don't just have a fat stomach, haha!
We still haven't "officially" decided on a name for Little One. We are pretty sure that his first name will be Dustin, and that we will call him by his middle name. Unfortunately, we can't decide on a middle name. Nothing we think of seems to suit our son as perfectly as we want it to. We are thinking that we should just wait until he is born to choose a name, so that we can see what he looks like before naming him.
I haven't had any baby showers yet. I will have my first one, given to me by my mother-in-law and sisters-in-law on November 5 in Winnfield.
That is all the updates I have for now. I promise not to wait so long between updates again, especially since the day is nearing for him to be born.
This is Dustin and I at the pumpkin patch, 26 weeks pregnant.
Us again, 26 weeks pregnant.
